Multi-faceted Dabney Morris is a composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles who has scored films including the Oscar short-listed documentary Procession, narrative features such as I Can Feel You Walking, Broken Diamonds, as well as Sundance 2023’s opening night premiere film, Sometimes I Think About Dying, starring Daisy Ridley.

He is co-composing the score for the upcoming Alex Ross Perry documentary about the iconic indie-rock band Pavement, and served as an arranger and music director for the off-Broadway workshop production of Slanted! Enchanted! A Pavement Musical—a jukebox musical slated to be part of the enigmatic project.

Morris has written additional music for projects like AMC’s, Kevin Can F*** Himself, HBO’s Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults, FX’s A Teacher, and the 2022 SXSW grand jury winner I Love My Dad; he arranged and orchestrated for the Netflix original film, All The Bright Places.

As a producer, Morris has worked on records by Wild Cub, MYZICA, Ezra Carey, Bryan Cates, and others. He has arranged for artists such as Louis Prince, Skyway Man, and The Brook & The Bluff.

As a concert composer, his chamber works have been performed by the Alias Chamber Ensemble and Lockeland Strings. Dabney is co-founder of Chamber House, a series of modern chamber music concerts hosted in intimate venues in Los Angeles.
